GROWTH
“I’m Living the Dream”
The growth phase of a green energy company has so many moving parts that marketing, public relations and the web can get lost and put on the back burner if someone is not watching out for the company. The main goal in the growth phase is getting things going. Assuming the green energy company is successful in raising enough money to get through the proof of concept and is now funded at least through its first round, to production.
Then, the goal of the company is to execute on its use of funds and the main audience that is watching are the angel investors and the 1st round investors, but a close second audience are the 1st rounds buddies. They are waiting to see if the company makes good on what they say they can do.
Making good on what you say you can do means getting a site, building a plant, hiring employees, training people, ramping up technology, developing supply chain relationships, doing business process creation and improvement and keeping investors and customers informed. All of these are more than full time jobs for multiple people in multiple depts.
Where web technology comes into play is in setting up the information technology systems to manage all the above in an efficient manner. Maintaining your brand communications with your key stakeholders is critical at this point.
The growth toolkit includes:

- Further explanation of benefits of product
- Interactive technology demonstrations
- Campaigns & promotions for resellers
- Print brochure (on recycled paper)
- Customer & vendor surveys
- E-mail newsletters
- Trade show assets
- Enhanced website
- Trade show plan
- Marketing Plan
- PR campaign
